Danvers Car Service
Danvers has a bit of an identity problem, and 1692 plays a part. Back then, it was Salem Village, a name that still sends historians down rabbit holes and visitors looking for witch-trial landmarks. These days, you’re more likely to wonder which exit off Route 128 leads to where you’re supposed to be.
Danvers doesn’t make that particularly obvious, either. A hotel on Ferncroft Road and a wedding venue on Elliott Street can mean two very different trips across town. That’s why our Danvers car service starts with the exact address, not just the hotel or venue name.
Airport Transfers from Logan to Danvers Addresses
Most people heading to Danvers fly into Boston Logan International Airport, about 20 miles south of town. The drive from Logan takes roughly 30 minutes in light traffic, depending on your destination. For private flights, Hanscom Field is another option, and we meet you at the private aviation terminal.
After a long flight, nobody wants to wander around looking for their car. We track your flight and adjust the meeting time if it lands early or late. Once you land, we’ll text you directions to the designated limo stand, where your chauffeur will meet you with a sign showing your name.
You’ll also have time to pick up your luggage before meeting your chauffeur. Domestic arrivals include 30 minutes of complimentary waiting time, while international arrivals include 60. If you’d rather meet inside baggage claim, that costs an additional $55. Trips between midnight and 5 a.m. carry a $20 early-morning fee.
Business Days and Wedding Weekends
Business passengers may fly into Logan for a meeting at Abiomed or Cell Signaling Technology, then return to Boston that evening. Others spend several days in town for conferences or weddings. The length of the visit, number of passengers, and places they need to reach determine the arrangements.
For business visitors, one reservation can include an airport transfer and appointments at several offices. Danvers has businesses along Routes 1, 114, and 128, so we ask for the full addresses before arranging the trip. When meetings are spread throughout the day, a vehicle booked by the hour can remain with the passengers between appointments.
Weddings usually involve more people and multiple transfers. The couple might need a private car, while relatives leave their hotels together for the ceremony and reception. We can arrange separate wedding vehicles for each party, using the ceremony time and venue locations to work out when everyone should leave.
Where Guests Stay and Celebrate
Danvers has several hotels and event venues, though they aren’t all in the same part of town. Some are close to the major highways, while others sit along residential streets or near the waterfront. Here are three addresses worth knowing:
- The DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore has 363 rooms and meeting facilities on Ferncroft Road, near the Route 1 and I-95 interchange. It accommodates business conferences, overnight visitors, and wedding parties staying in town.
- On Ingersoll Street, Glen Magna Farms is a historic garden estate with a Derby Summer House dating to 1794. Its sailcloth tent seats up to 200 wedding guests, with ceremonies and receptions held on the property.
- Danversport occupies 19 acres along Elliott Street and overlooks the Porter River. Its Harborview Ballroom accommodates 200 to 650 people, making it a popular setting for larger weddings and formal events.
Danvers has changed quite a bit since its days as Salem Village, although traces of its earlier history are still scattered around town.
Seats, Bags and Everyone You’re Bringing
The number of passengers is a good starting point, but luggage and the occasion also help determine which vehicle to choose.
- An executive heading from Logan to a morning meeting can catch up on emails in the back seat of our Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It seats up to two passengers and accommodates two pieces of luggage.
- Families arriving with several suitcases have more room in our Chevrolet Suburban. With seating for six passengers and space for six bags, everyone can go from the airport to their Danvers address together.
- For a wedding party of up to 14, our Sprinter Coach can take everyone from the hotel to the ceremony and reception. It also accommodates 14 pieces of luggage for overnight guests.
Our chauffeurs complete training in safety, defensive driving, and passenger assistance. They’re prepared for everything from early-morning airport transfers to late-night wedding returns, including helping passengers with their belongings and agreeing on meeting points.
